One of the main characters is someone called Mai Shubamura who is a mysterious young girl who ends up affecting all of the people who she meets. The story also follows the young men and women as they go through everyday problems of adolescence including feelings for each other. The whole series is a light hearted romantic drama which is set against a thrilling sci-fi background of fighting, battles and mecha robots and various other sci-fi characters. The aliens are coming but the story is fresh and isn't as dated as some other anime Dvds available. Gunparade March will be available to buy on DVD as of August 2009 and will be 15. 99 in stores.
